Back-to-School Family Travel in Türkiye: CHERY Brings Its Core “For Family” Value Proposition to Life Through Safety“For Family”: CHERY Models Safeguard Every School-Run Journey in Türkiye

TIGGO 8

As September brings the back-to-school season, families across Türkiye are entering a new round of school runs and daily commutes. In the morning, school gates fill with waiting vehicles; by evening, main urban roads are lined with traffic. Daily shopping often includes new stationery for children, while weekend trips to the suburbs call for boots packed with sports gear and snacks. These real family scenarios place clear demands on vehicle safety, space flexibility and intelligent convenience. Guided by its core “For Family” value proposition, CHERY brings safety into every stage of family travel through models such as TIGGO8 and TIGGO7.

This protection is reflected not only in product capability, but also across the full ownership journey. From 1 July, CHERY launched its 2026 Global Summer Service Season under the theme "Protect What You Love, Service Along the Way". Supported by the global CHERY FAMILY CARE service brand, the campaign provides owners with dedicated care covering vehicle inspections, maintenance, usage consultation and owner activities, making every departure more reassuring. From long summer road trips to everyday school runs, professional service remains close at hand, working alongside product strength to form CHERY's dual commitment to family mobility.

Versatile Travel for Larger Families: TIGGO8 Accommodates More Everyday Family Needs with Generous Space

For families with two or more children or three generations travelling together, TIGGO8 meets the mobility needs of larger families with its dedicated 5+2-seat cabin. Measuring 4,725 x 1,860 x 1,705 mm, it offers flexible folding for the second- and third-row seats, enabling 12 seating and loading combinations. Even with seven occupants on board, the third row can still accommodate adult passengers with ease, allowing parents to drop children at school in the morning and then take grandparents for a short suburban outing on the way. For weekend family trips, switching to five-seat mode provides a regular boot capacity of 479 L, while fully folding the second and third rows expands the space to up to 1,930 L. School bags, football training gear, folding bicycles, strollers and family shopping can all be stowed with confidence. The vehicle also provides 36 storage spaces, helping cups, stationery and children's small everyday items stay neatly in place instead of being searched for during the drive.

Inside the cabin, soft-touch materials cover 78.9% of key surfaces. The front passenger seat is equipped with 10-point massage and an electric leg rest, while the Qualcomm 8155 chip works with a 15.6-inch 2.5K HD display to deliver responsive operation. Elderly family members can rest quietly in the rear, children can finish an episode of their favourite cartoon on a smooth journey, and long-distance family travel becomes more relaxed and comfortable.

School gates during the back-to-school season are often busy and complex, with parents collecting children, students crossing nearby and electric two-wheelers moving through narrow lanes. The 540-degree panoramic camera system on TIGGO8 combines 360-degree vehicle monitoring with a 180-degree transparent chassis view. Supported by 3-megapixel HD cameras and dynamic guide lines, it helps drivers judge surrounding distances more accurately, making it easier to pass, pull in and park even in tight school-gate areas while reducing the risk of scrapes. Its comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems also provides support across five frequently encountered areas: driving, reversing, parking, night-time lighting and following/braking, helping reduce the driver’s workload during daily commutes and longer motorway journeys.

TIGGO8 is also robust in passive safety. Developed to global five-star safety standards, it uses high-strength steel and hot-formed steel for 65% of the body structure, paired with a 10-airbag system including a driver knee airbag and far-side airbag, providing multi-dimensional collision protection for every occupant.

Everyday Urban Commuting: TIGGO7 Uses Flexible Space to Support Frequent School-Run Needs

For urban nuclear families, TIGGO7 delivers generous cabin space through thoughtful design. With dimensions of 4,545 x 1,898 x 1,670 mm and efficient cabin packaging, more of the vehicle's footprint is dedicated to passenger space. During the morning and evening school rush, the rear row offers ample lateral and longitudinal room. After a child seat is installed, two adults can still sit alongside it with ease. Children also have enough legroom to draw or organise stationery in the rear without easily kicking the front seatbacks. The boot supports flexible folding and expansion, so weekly groceries, a child's drawing board and craft materials can all be properly loaded after school without taking up passenger space.

Safety is likewise a core consideration for TIGGO7. High-strength steel accounts for 60% of its body structure, and the model is equipped with eight airbags. Its ADAS functions include LDW (Lane Departure Warning), BSD (Blind Spot Detection), FCW (Forward Collision Warning), AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and TJA (Traffic Jam Assist), helping make driving easier. For example, during morning and evening peak hours, when traffic on main urban roads repeatedly stops and starts, TJA can assist with vehicle-speed control and following the vehicle ahead, helping reduce fatigue caused by frequent acceleration and braking. When changing lanes, BSD can alert the driver to an electric two-wheeler entering the blind spot, helping the driver change lanes with greater confidence during the school run.

The back-to-school season is only one snapshot of a family's long mobility journey. The morning school gate, the evening drive home and the weekend suburban trip may seem ordinary, but each deserves careful protection. From the spacious TIGGO8 to the flexible and practical TIGGO7, the CHERY product line-up is always developed around real family-use scenarios. With safety as its foundation, and with practical space and intelligent technology taken into account, CHERY provides travel choices that meet the needs of different family structures.

This focus on family is also being continuously reinforced through CHERY's global development. In May this year, CHERY officially announced at its European Operations Centre in Barcelona, Spain, that world-renowned footballer Robert Lewandowski had become CHERY Brand Global Ambassador. Lewandowski said that CHERY's core "For Family" value proposition is highly aligned with his own values of cherishing family, staying committed and pursuing excellence, and that he looks forward to working with CHERY to bring better mobility experiences to families around the world. This partnership is not only an important step in CHERY’s globalisation strategy, but also brings the “For Family” value proposition to life more vividly across global markets.

Looking ahead, CHERY will continue to place “For Family” at the heart of its approach, incorporating safety into every product detail and supporting families in Türkiye on more reassuring and comfortable journeys.
