For EU. For Family: CHERY to Arrive at the Paris Motor Show to Support Family Journeys Across Europe
Paris Motor Show 2026 opened on 12 October. CHERY made a major appearance with an all-star product line-up and its 3S core technology strengths, formally unveiling "For EU. For Family" for the EU market. This was the local expression of CHERY's global "For Family" brand proposition in the European Union and a further response to the mobility needs of EU families. CHERY also presented its strategic roadmap for the EU market, setting out its ambition to become the preferred mobility choice for tens of millions of EU families. By bringing family mobility solutions proven across global markets to European consumers, CHERY aimed to support families across the EU with strong products and services.

Aaron Zheng, Executive Deputy General Manager of CHERY Brand, unveiled the brand’s EU strategy at the Paris Motor Show.
From "For Family" to "For EU. For Family": Earning Broad Recognition Among Users
"For Family" is CHERY's promise to families around the world. Built on the three pillars of Space. For Family, Safety. For Family and Technology. For Family, it uses dependable quality and thoughtful technology to bring reassurance and enjoyment to every journey. At the motor show press conference, CHERY shared stories from owner families in EU markets where the brand is already present, including Greece, Romania, Hungary and Poland. These included families enjoying time together on long-distance road trips, a photographer couple experiencing the value of safety assistance while working away from home, a family with two children making time for reunion amid busy lives, and a family of four who regard their pet as part of the family and want everyone together on every journey. From everyday school runs to holiday travel, these stories show how CHERY brings safety, space and technology into family life, making "For Family" a tangible form of companionship. Adapted to local driving conditions, this promise becomes "For EU. For Family", reflecting the realities of family life across the European Union.
With product strengths built on exceptional safety, practical space and intelligent technology, CHERY has established a presence in multiple EU countries and won customers’ trust. To reinforce the strengths underpinning “Safety. For Family”, CHERY continues to conduct rigorous real-world product tests across the EU. The Black Sea Safety Challenge is an important example of CHERY's long-term, safety-led development in Europe. From 22 to 24 September, CHERY held its Black Sea Safety Challenge in Constanța, Romania, conducting two engineering tests on the TIGGO9 CSH: 24-hour saltwater immersion of its high-voltage battery and an underbody scraping test.
Both tests were conducted in the presence of more than 150 European journalists and German technical experts: the battery met the sealing and insulation criteria after 24 hours of saltwater immersion, while the underbody scraping test resulted in no structural damage to the battery housing or electrolyte leakage.
An All-Star Model Line-up Covers Diverse Family Mobility Needs
At the Paris Motor Show, CHERY's all-star model line-up took centre stage. During the public days, the CHERY stand welcomed visitors from across Europe with an immersive family-mobility experience area, allowing them to explore the value offered by a broad range of models first-hand.
CHERY Q, the brand's first battery-electric model, made its public debut in France. Designed for families, it combines a stylish and agile exterior with generous space, responsive handling and rich intelligent in-car interaction. It can serve both as a young driver's first car and as an additional vehicle for the family, handling everyday commuting, weekend shopping and school runs while responding to the finer details of family mobility.

The TIGGO4 1.5T, an important volume model for France, also appeared at the show, with France becoming the first EU market to introduce it. The model further strengthens CHERY's offering in the French and wider EU family SUV market, bringing power and space suited to daily family use across commuting, shopping, school runs and weekend travel.
Alongside CHERY Q and the TIGGO4 1.5T, the TIGGO9 CSH, which successfully completed the Black Sea extreme safety tests, joined TIGGO7, TIGGO8 and other models on stage. Together, they expand CHERY's European portfolio and offer a diverse range of mobility choices for European consumers with different household structures and lifestyles.
Deepening Its EU Presence with Plans for a Stronger Local Industrial Ecosystem
As its product portfolio expands and customer recognition continues to grow, CHERY is steadily advancing its long-term plans for the EU market and accelerating the development of a more localised industrial ecosystem.
Looking ahead, CHERY has set out a clear roadmap: strengthen local research and development, production and service networks; continue to evolve its product range; and offer plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) options. This diversified powertrain strategy is intended to support both short urban journeys in electric mode and longer family trips with hybrid power, while responding more precisely to different markets and customer groups. Under the plan, CHERY aims to expand into 20 EU markets, including France, establish 687 sales and service outlets and serve around 100,000 EU families in 2026. By 2027, these figures are expected to rise to 27 markets, 1,143 outlets and 300,000 families respectively, supported by a more complete localised system of products and services.
Since entering the EU market in 2025, CHERY has continued to earn the trust of European customers through tangible market performance, rigorous quality testing and strong products. From the new starting point of Paris Motor Show 2026, CHERY brings together its localised "For EU. For Family" proposition, comprehensive product portfolio and long-term EU strategy as it moves closer to becoming the preferred mobility choice for tens of millions of EU families. In doing so, it aims to bring the warmth of "For EU. For Family" to every family journey across the European Union. In addition, a series of CHERY events as part of CHERY International User Summit 2026 will take place in October under the theme "Together. For Family", bringing users from around the world together for a celebration of family.
