Technology Flagship Lands in Southern Europe: CHERY TIGGO9 Debuts at MIMO Monza Motor Sh
The fifth MIMO Milano Monza Motor Show opened at the legendary F1 Monza circuit, where CHERY unveiled the TIGGO9 CSH, the flagship of the TIGGO family, marking its Italian show debut. Staying true to a “For Family” brand positioning, the seven-seat hybrid SUV harnesses CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) technology and a comprehensive suite of comfort features to demonstrate Chery’s advanced hybrid engineering capability and practical family mobility value at this performance and new-energy focused international event.
Hybrid performance demonstrated at the Monza circuit
Held at the Monza F1 track, MIMO brings together global luxury and performance brands in an immersive outdoor format. CHERY positioned the TIGGO9 CSH in the dedicated new energy zone, where its balanced and comprehensive technical package stood out clearly, attracting European media, family users and driving enthusiasts for close inspection and in-depth experience.
The TIGGO9 CSH is the first hybrid model developed on the T2X platform. It pairs a 1.5T dedicated hybrid engine with a 3DHT165 3-speed hybrid transmission, achieving 44.5% thermal efficiency. Its three-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers a combined peak output of 315 kW and 580 N·m of torque, enabling 0–100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. The vehicle can run purely electric for smooth, quiet city commutes, while providing ample power reserves for highway driving – adapting seamlessly to Europe’s stop-start urban traffic, winding suburban roads and high-speed cruising.

Range and safety built for family travel
Addressing the range and charging concerns of overseas consumers, the TIGGO9 CSH features a large-capacity battery delivering a WLTC pure-electric range of 140 km and a combined range of up to 1,200 km. 71 kW DC fast charging replenishes 50% of the battery in 18 minutes, and a standard 6.6 kW V2L function perfectly suits Europe’s camping and outdoor lifestyle, significantly easing range anxiety on long journeys.
On the safety front, the body employs 85% high-strength steel and 21% 1,500 MPa hot-stamped steel, together with ten airbags including a 2,060 mm side curtain, plus an ADAS intelligent driving assistance suite. The battery is IP68-rated for dust and water protection, and the high-voltage system is disconnected within 2 milliseconds of a collision. These multiple layers of protection ensure stable, reliable driving on wet, uneven and demanding road surfaces.
Inside, the 5+2 layout features second-row seats with a 260 mm electric slide for easy third-row access. The “Queen” passenger seat integrates ventilation, heating and a 10-point massage function. A SONY 14-speaker audio system and ENC active noise cancellation create a quiet cabin, while TÜV SÜD certification for child and pet friendliness guarantees comfort for all occupants. Many European families at the show observed that most current seven-seat hybrids suffer from limited electric range, restricted third-row space and mediocre seat comfort. With its combination of strong power, long range and a full suite of comfort features, the TIGGO9 CSH offers a clear advantage at a comparable budget, precisely meeting the needs of multi-member households across various trip scenarios.

Steady global progress, expanding overseas horizons
Chery Group has led Chinese passenger vehicle exports for 23 consecutive years, with Europe playing a vital role in its global strategy. As a sub-brand under the Group, the TIGGO9 CSH debuted at the MIMO Motor Show in Italy, highlighting CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) technology for the Southern European market.Building on this debut, CHERY will continue to strengthen its overseas product portfolio, leveraging its proprietary hybrid technology to boost market performance and present China’s independently developed new-energy innovations to international audiences.
The debut of the TIGGO9 CSH at Italy’s MIMO Monza Motor Show marks more than a strategic milestone for the TIGGO family in Southern Europe — it is a clear signal of CHERY’s deepening European strategy. Building on the Monza momentum, the brand will roll out a series of immersive consumer experiences, from in-depth test drives to urban static showcases, harnessing tangible product strengths to carve a solid foothold in Europe’s mid-size hybrid SUV segment while continuously refining its localized operations. Yet this is only the prelude: this October, CHERY will once again bring the TIGGO family to the world stage of the Paris Motor Show. From Monza to Paris, from deep market cultivation in Southern Europe to a powerful statement under the global spotlight, CHERY is embedding itself into the European heartland with growing intensity. In its global journey, the brand is accelerating the leap from simply “going global” to truly “going premium” — projecting the confidence and momentum of Chinese smart manufacturing into the global mainstream with unmistakable clarity.
